Pedestrian Killed in Mid-City Hit-and-Run Collision

Mid-City, Los Angeles, CA: A pedestrian was struck and killed by an unknown vehicle on Venice Boulevard near the intersection of Orange, just west of La Brea on Monday night, Aug. 15, in the Mid-City neighborhood of Los Angeles. The incident was reported at approximately 10:00 p.m.

The gender and age of the victim are unknown at this time. The victim was pronounced deceased at scene by Los Angeles Fire Department personnel. Los Angeles Police Department traffic officers are handling the investigation.

Venice Boulevard was closed eastbound between Redondo and La Brea while officers conducted their investigation.
