Pedestrian Located Dead in Street from Apparent Collision with Vehicle

Pomona, Los Angeles County, CA: Police officers and firefighters responded to a traffic collision Tuesday night, where a pedestrian was located deceased in the street.

The Pomona Police Department and Los Angeles County Fire Department arrived at the scene of the collision on the 1200 block of East Holt Avenue and Hershey Street in the city of Pomona just before 9:30 p.m., Mar. 21.

One pedestrian was pronounced deceased at the scene in the middle of the street on East Holt Avenue.

It is unknown at this time if the pedestrian was struck by a vehicle as they were crossing the street.

There was a truck at the scene and officers were observed speaking with an individual. It was unclear if the person and truck were involved in the incident.

Pomona PD had both westbound and eastbound East Holt Avenue closed for their investigation.

The police department has not released any details regarding the fatal crash at this time.
