Pedestrian Struck and Killed by Semi on 5 Freeway

Castaic, Los Angeles County, CA: A pedestrian on the 5 Freeway was struck and killed by a semi early Tuesday morning, May 10, 2022.

Castaic California Highway Patrol received reports of an auto versus pedestrian around 2:20 a.m. on the Northbound 5 Freeway at the lower crossover in the Cataic area of Los Angeles County.

Los Angeles County Fire Department was dispatched for a person not breathing and unconscious. The semi truck driver stated that an individual ran into traffic lanes.

California Highway patrol is investigating the traffic collision and had lanes blocked on the 5 Freeway at the time of the incident.
