PHOENIX, Ariz., Feb. 20 (KNN) — A pickup truck crash in Phoenix late Wednesday night left a path of destruction through two yards that included a homeowner’s Mercedes.

Phoenix firefighters and police officers responded to the 1700 block of East Verde Lane for reports of a collision around 10 p.m.
When crews arrived on the scene, they located a pickup truck that crashed through two separate yards.
Phoenix Fire Department personnel transported one person to the hospital with an unknown extent of injuries.
Homeowner Joseph Mitchell, whose property sustained damage during the chaotic crash, spoke to Key News Network on camera and described hearing a tremendous sound – like a “bang, boom, bang.”
Mitchell said he and his wife ran outside the front door and found that a car had come through his front yard, broken the fence, and struck his Mercedes, totaling the vehicle.
According to Mitchell, the car continued into his neighbor’s yard, struck the fence, and spun around trees before stopping at the house.
The path of destruction was captured in a KNN video from the scene.
The cause of the crash is unknown at this time.
