Rowland Heights, Los Angeles County, CA: A pregnant woman was stabbed early Sunday morning in the Rowland Heights community of Los Angeles County.

Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department and Los Angeles County Fire Department received a call of a stabbing of a pregnant woman by a man at an apartment complex at Sierra Leone Avenue and Jellick Avenue around 2:48 a.m. Oct. 16, 2022.

When deputies arrived at the location, they found a woman – four months pregnant – stabbed in the stomach in an apartment unit. Deputies arrested a male suspect and placed six other individuals in handcuffs.

Firefighters were cleared to enter the scene by deputies and quickly transported the woman to a local hospital.

The victim’s relationship to the arrested suspect and other detained individuals was unclear.
