Sun Valley, Los Angeles, CA: A warehouse in the Sun Valley neighborhood of Los Angeles in the San Fernando Valley suffered major water damage after a vehicle collision sheared a hydrant.

Los Angeles City Fire Department responded to reports of a sheared hydrant on the 11400 block of Sheldon Street around 3:10 p.m. on Sunday, Mar. 19, 2022.
When units arrived, they found a hydrant gushing water from a hit-and-run traffic collision. The water was pushed by heavy wind causing roof damage to a building next to the broken hydrant.
Firefighters implemented a water sweep to clear flooding from extending inside the building.
The Los Angeles Police Department is investigating the traffic collision.
