NORTH HOLLYWOOD, LOS ANGELES, Apr. 27 (KNN) — A woman and a man were wounded in a shooting that took place at a flower shop in North Hollywood Saturday evening.
The shooting occurred at 8:15 p.m. at the “Rouge Rose” flower shop located in the 12700 block of Sherman Way. Los Angeles Police Department’s North Hollywood Division officers responded to the scene.
The victims – a 32-year-old man and 28-year-old woman – were standing in front of the location when they were approached by a group of male suspects who then fired numerous rounds striking both victims, according to Officer Drake Madison, spokesperson for the LAPD.
“The victims proceeded to run to a nearby location where they were followed by the same group of suspects. The suspects again fired numerous rounds, striking the victims,” reported Madison.
According to Madison, the two victims drove themselves to a local area hospital and are reported to be in stable condition. It is not known at this time if the incident is gang related.
A bullet hole was observed in a window of the shop, along with bullet casings on the ground outside the business marked by officers investigating the scene.
A black sedan was also located in an adjacent parking lot with a bullet hole in the drivers side window. It appears the vehicle was randomly damaged in the continued gunfire, according to the LAPD.
A male suffering from unknown injuries, was observed transported from the scene to a local area hospital by Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics. There was no immediate information from the LAPD regarding that person.
LAPD’s North Hollywood Division is handling the investigation.
