Stoney Fire Burns Around 10 Acres of Brush in Angeles National Forest

Angeles National Forest, Los Angeles County,CA: On Sunday, July 10, Angeles National Forest firefighters responded to reports of a brush fire around 1:36 p.m. near Big Tujunga Canyon Road and Vogel Flat Road where they spotted a fire that grew to about 10 acres on both sides of Big Tujunga.

Angeles National Forest Fire Department, Los Angeles City Fire Department and Los Angeles County Fire Department all worked from ground and air to battle the flames.

The fire is approximately at 8 to 10 acres in size with forward progression stopped. Angeles National Forest is investigating the cause of the fire.
