Suspicious Incident Investigated at LAX

Los Angeles, CA: A suspicious package incident was investigated by authorities at the Los Angeles International Airport early Tuesday morning, May 2.

Initial reports indicate that a possible suspicious package was onboard an American Airlines flight prompting a response from the Los Angeles Fire Department and the Los Angeles Police Department’s Bomb Squad.

LAFD requested additional resources to flight AA673 at gate 406.

Firefighters stated that the flight was to be evacuated and the LAPD Bomb Squad would be handling the situation.

The flight was indicating a delay by almost six hours on FlightAware from Los Angeles to Miami.
