Porter Ranch, Los Angeles, CA: Two juveniles died and eight others were injured in a three-vehicle traffic collision Saturday evening, Oct. 22, in the Porter Ranch neighborhood of the San Fernando Valley.

The Los Angeles Fire Department responded to a call of a traffic collision with entrapment around 5:35 p.m. on the 11000 block of North Reseda Boulevard.
Upon arrival, firefighters found three vehicles that were involved in a traffic collision with one person trapped. LAFD reported a total of 10 patients – seven adults, three minors – including one 17-year-old badly trapped in the wreckage.
Despite LAFD life-saving efforts, the teenager succumbed to injuries suffered in the collision. The teen was pronounced deceased at the scene, according to LAFD. No one else was trapped in the vehicles.
Nine patients were transported to regional trauma centers – six patients in critical condition, three in fair condition.
The Los Angeles Police Department confirmed in a news release on Sunday that another juvenile victim of the collision died at the hospital. That juvenile is also reportedly a teenager. The identities of the deceased will not be released until next of kin has been notified.
Reseda Boulevard was closed in both directions between San Fernando Mission Boulevard and Chatsworth Street for the Los Angeles Police Department’s investigation and clean-up of the scene.
