Sylmar, Los Angeles, CA: A local resident lost control of his car and crashed into the side of a home on the 12100 block of Via Santa Marta in the Sylmar neighborhood within the city of Los Angeles around 12:58 a.m. Saturday, Mar. 12, 2022.

The driver was injured and transported to a local hospital by Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics. Key News Network interviewed the homeowner at the scene and asked how he would describe the incident. He stated ‘’It kind of felt like an earthquake.’’ He said he heard water gushing in the garage and the individual screaming in pain.

The homeowner also said there was some pretty extensive damage with a bad water leak inside the garage and that the main valve was shut off to stop the water flow. A structural engineer was due to respond to assess the damage to the home, along with the L.A. Department of Water and Power.
