Vehicle Slams into Large Downed Tree

Calabasas, Los Angeles County, CA: A vehicle slammed into a large downed tree that blocked all lanes of a roadway late Thursday night in the city of Calabasas.

Around 10:30 p.m., Mar. 24, California Highway Patrol received a call regarding a downed tree at Mulholland Highway / Stokes Canyon Road.

As CHP was waiting for county crews to respond to clear the tree from the roadway, a car slammed into the tree. CHP requested Los Angeles County Fire Department personnel to respond for a person trapped inside the car.

CHP was able to assist the person from the car before the fire department arrived. No injuries were reported. The tree was cleared from the roadway.
