Water Main Break Sends Gallons of Water into Glassell Park Street

Glassell Park, Los Angels, CA: A water main break in the Glassell Park neighborhood of Los Angeles sent gallons of water gushing into the street and rushing alongside parked vehicles early Monday morning, June 13, 2022.

The Los Angeles City Fire Department responded to a reported flooding on the 3800 block of York Boulevard around 12:42 a.m. When firefighters arrived, they found water coming from both sides of the street under York Boulevard.

The fire department set up yellow tape to warn vehicles to avoid the area. Water is seen in Key News Network video from the location traveling down from the breaking point to the intersection of York and Verdugo Road.

The Los Angeles Department of Transportation and the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power responded to the location.
