Woman Found Shot in Parking Garage in Koreatown

Koreatown, Los Angeles, CA: A woman was found with a gunshot wound in the parking garage at the “Avana on Wilshire” apartments early Friday morning.

The shooting was reported on the 600 block of South Hobart Boulevard at approximately 2:05 a.m., July 15, 2022. Los Angeles Police Department Olympic Division officers along with the Los Angeles Fire Department responded to the location in the Koreatown neighborhood within Central Los Angeles.

A woman suffering from a gunshot wound reportedly to the neck was discovered by residents in the parking garage at the location. Officers at the address were unsure if the shooting occurred where the victim was found or at another location.

A suspect vehicle was described as a possible white van. No further information was available at the time of this report.

The victim was transported to a local area hospital in unknown condition.
