1 Killed in 3-Vehicle Lancaster Traffic Collision

Lancaster, Los Angeles County, CA: One person was killed in a traffic collision involving three vehicles early Thursday morning.

Personnel from the Lancaster sheriff’s station and the Los Angeles County Fire Department responded to the intersection of 40th Street West and Avenue J in the city of Lancaster around 12:23 a.m., Apr. 27.

Upon arrival, sheriffs deputies found three vehicles involved in a collision with multiple critical patients and at least one fatality.

According to a preliminary investigation by a sheriff’s traffic deputy, a Spectrum truck was stopped at a traffic light at Avenue J and 40th Street West when a vehicle rear-ended the truck. The vehicle began to roll due to the force of the impact when it struck another vehicle traveling southbound on 40th Street West.

At this time, there are no further details. The crash is currently under investigation.
