1 Killed in Sun Valley 2-Vehicle Traffic Collision

Sun Valley, Los Angeles, CA: A two-vehicle traffic collision left one person deceased at the scene Wednesday night, May 18, around 10:45 p.m. on the 9000 block of San Fernando Road in the Sun Valley neighborhood of the San Fernando Valley.

The Los Angeles City Fire Department responded to the traffic collision at the intersection of Lankershim Boulevard and San Fernando Road and found one vehicle flipped over through a fence and another vehicle on the street.

There were two patients at the location; one patient was determined to be beyond medical help and the other patient that was driving the vehicle remaining on the street, did not have any medical complaints.

A wooden telephone pole impacted by the collision appeared to be precariously held by only multiple utility lines as seen in Key News Network video from the scene.

The Los Angeles Police Department is investigating this traffic collision.
