Irwindale, CA: A two-vehicle collision left one person trapped inside a vehicle on the 605 Freeway Friday morning, Apr. 8, at approximately 2:48 a.m. in the city of Irwindale.

Arriving Los Angeles County Fire Department firefighters went to work using the Jaws of Life to cut the doors off the vehicle in order to extricate the trapped patient. The patient was immediately transported in unknown condition by CARE ambulance with LACoFD to a local hospital.

The other party was not transported. The cause of the collision is unknown at this time.

California Highway Patrol officers were on the scene investigating the collision.
