Bakersfield, CA: A woman was found on the ground at the scene of a fiery vehicle rollover crash off an on-ramp of the 99 Freeway early Friday morning in the city of Bakersfield.

California Highway Patrol received reports around 2:30 a.m., Apr. 8, of a vehicle rollover that flew off of the on-ramp of the Southbound 99 Freeway at Lerdo Highway. The vehicle landed west of the on-ramp, between the ramp and railroad tracks with reported fire.
First CHP officers on the scene found a female outside the vehicle on the ground possibly ejected during the crash. The female was later determined to be the driver and only occupant of the vehicle.
The Kern County Fire Department quickly knocked down the flames and rendered medical aid to the driver. CHP said they received reports of the vehicle driving recklessly just before the crash.
The driver of the vehicle was transported to an area hospital by Hall ambulance with minor to moderate injuries where further evaluation may confirm CHP’s suspicion of alcohol being a factor in the crash.
