2-Vehicle Collision in Phoenix Involves Extrication of Trapped Occupants

PHOENIX, Ariz., Apr. 8 (KNN) — Phoenix Fire Department crews were dispatched to the intersection of 19th Avenue and Vineyard Road early Tuesday morning for reports of a two-vehicle collision with people trapped.

Firefighters arrived and located two passenger cars that had collided in the intersection at a high rate of speed.

According to the Phoenix FD, three people had to be extricated from the two involved vehicles.

Two of the victims were transported in critical condition, and the third was transported in extremely critical condition.

Phoenix police officers closed the intersection as they conducted their investigation.

19th Avenue was closed between Carson Road and Lydia Lane.
