Pedestrian Found Deceased on 60 Freeway in Boyle Heights

BOYLE HEIGHTS, LOS ANGELES, Oct. 20 (KNN) — A pedestrian was discovered deceased on the 60 Freeway late Thursday night in the Boyle Heights neighborhood of Los Angeles.

California Highway Patrol’s East Los Angeles units responded to a pedestrian down in lanes on the westbound 60 Freeway at Indiana Street around 11:39 p.m.

When units arrived on scene, they located the victim who had been struck multiple times by vehicles.

The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene.

It is unclear if the victim jumped onto the freeway from the Indiana Street overpass or was walking in lanes.

The westbound 60 Freeway was shut down during the investigation with traffic being diverted off at Indiana Street.
