Tow Truck Traffic Collision Involves 13 Parked Vehicles in Downtown Los Angeles

LOS ANGELES, Nov. 17 (KNN) — A traffic collision between a tow truck and another vehicle, involved multiple parked vehicles early Friday morning in the downtown area of Los Angeles.

The Los Angeles Police Department’s Newton Division officers received reports of a solo vehicle rollover crash around 2:42 a.m. on Griffith Avenue just north of Washington Boulevard.

California Highway Patrol’s Central Los Angeles units arrived first at the scene and came across multiple vehicles involved in the crash.

According to the LAPD, a tow truck traveling northbound on Griffith collided with a vehicle traveling southbound on Griffith. Both of those vehicles collided into 13 parked vehicles. Fifteen vehicles in total were found at the scene.

The driver of the tow truck was placed into custody at the scene for suspected DUI. He was transported to a local hospital and is currently hospitalized, said the LAPD. Two others were transported with minor injuries.
