Riverside, CA: The City of Riverside Fire Department received reports of a vegetation fire in the Santa Ana River bottom in Martha McLean-Anza Narrows Park around 10:38 p.m. Monday, Apr. 11, 2022.

Units en route reported seeing flames while still responding. Upon arrival of the first engine, a second alarm was requested and shortly thereafter a 3rd alarm was requested.

Cal Fire/ Riverside County Fire Department assisted in containing the fire. Per bystanders, they heard arguing and popping noises prior to the fire starting.

According to the incident command, the fire was 2.5 acres. No injuries or property damage was reported.
