Sylmar 2-Vehicle Traffic Collision Leaves 1 Trapped, 2 Patients Transported to Hospital

SYLMAR, LOS ANGELES, Jan. 3 (KNN) — One person was trapped, a total of two people were injured following a collision involving two vehicles in the Sylmar neighborhood of Los Angeles.

Los Angeles Fire Department personnel were dispatched to the intersection of Hubbard and Eldridge Avenue for a two-vehicle collision around 8:51 p.m. Wednesday.

First arriving units requested additional engines for one person trapped inside a vehicle in need of extrication.

Two patients were transported in unknown condition by ambulance to a nearby hospital. Both vehicles were observed with major front end damage.

The intersection was blocked off from traffic by Los Angeles Police Department officers. The cause of the crash is under investigation.
