Los Angeles, CA: People were trapped and a fire hydrant sheared after a two-vehicle collision in South Los Angeles Monday night.

Los Angeles Fire Department responded to the scene of a two-vehicle traffic collision at the corner of Main Street and Florence Avenue around 11:47 p.m. May 9, 2022.
Upon arrival, firefighters found two vehicles, one of which additionally collided into a fire hydrant. LAFD worked to rescue the patients trapped from each vehicle. All three patients were successfully extricated and transported to local hospitals.
Two of the patients were in at least serious condition, and the third in moderate condition. According to a firefighter on scene, the chief complaint of one of the patients was back pain.
No additional information is available at this time. The collision is under investigation.
