Armed Carjacking Suspects in Custody After Crashing During Pursuit

Baldwin Park, Los Angeles County, CA: Armed carjacking suspects were taken into custody after crashing during a police pursuit around 11:40 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 20, in the city of Baldwin Park.

West Covina Police Department officers were in pursuit of armed carjacking suspects when the vehicle crashed on the westbound 10 Freeway to the northbound 605 Freeway transition.

A total of three suspects were taken into custody by West Covina PD. Two of the suspects were transported by ambulance to a local hospital in unknown conditions.

West Covina PD did locate a gun inside the vehicle.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s San Dimas Station had received a 911 call from a victim around 9:30 p.m. stating that three armed suspects took their car at gunpoint and fled the scene.

It is unknown at this time if the carjacking victim was injured.
