The collision was initially reported as a rollover traffic collision on the northbound side of the I-5 with the vehicle coming to rest just under the Glendale Boulevard overcrossing. A woman driving the overturned vehicle was transported by the Los Angeles Fire Department to a local area hospital in stable condition to be evaluated.

A male driver of the second vehicle involved on the northbound side was evaluated at the scene and released. During that collision, pieces of the freeway center divider were thrown onto the southbound lanes of the I-5. Three vehicles struck debris in lanes and stopped on the southbound side.

Glendale Fire Department responded to that location and possibly transported one individual for unknown injuries.

California Highway Patrol Central officers responded and stopped traffic both north and southbound while crews worked to clear debris from lanes.

It is unknown at this time how many vehicles were damaged in total as most vehicles did not stop after being struck by debris.

All lanes were open as of 2:32 a.m.
