Body Found With Dog Inside SUV Parked in Santa Clarita Shopping Center

SANTA CLARITA, Calif., Jan. 2 (KNN) — A body was found along with a dog inside an SUV parked in a busy Santa Clarita shopping center.

A 911 caller reported a person inside a Toyota C-HR to authorities shortly before 10 a.m. Tuesday, in a parking lot on the 24300 block of Magic Mountain Parkway.

Shoppers in the area said the vehicle had been there, undisturbed, for at least three weeks.

A dog was also found inside the vehicle, but had escaped in the chaos that ensued when emergency personnel arrived.

Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Homicide Bureau detectives were on scene for a death investigation.
