Pedestrian Struck, Killed by Vehicle in South Los Angeles

LOS ANGELES, Jan. 2 (KNN) — A pedestrian was struck and killed by a vehicle in the Jefferson Park neighborhood within South Los Angeles late Monday night.

The Los Angeles Police Department’s Southwest Division patrol units responded to a call around 11:23 p.m. of a vehicle versus pedestrian traffic collision in the 2600 block of South Arlington Avenue.

When officers arrived on scene, they located a pedestrian down in the street.

The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene by Los Angeles Fire Department personnel.

LAPD’s South Traffic Division is handling the investigation.
