Deputies Investigate Liquor Store Shooting; 4th Shooting in Santa Clarita Area

Saugus, Santa Clarita, CA: Deputies are searching for clues into a fourth shooting in the Santa Clarita area.

Shortly before 10:15 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 30, a 911 caller reported shots being fired outside Bouquet Plaza Liquor store on the 28200 block of Bouquet Canyon Road in the Saugus neighborhood of Santa Clarita.

The caller initially reported the gunfire being directed at several teenagers outside the store.

Units from the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station responded to the scene and found at least two shell casings on Bouquet Canyon Road west of the store.

Sheriff’s deputies combed the area but found no victims suffering from gunshot wounds or any other injury.

Sunday night’s shooting is at least the fourth in recent weeks. Over the last two weeks, rounds were fired into two separate homes, one in Saugus and one in Canyon Country along with a shooting at a party Saturday night — all coupled with the shooting on Bouquet Canyon Road.

Each shooting remains under investigation.
