East Hollywood 2-Vehicle Crash With Rollover Leaves Injured Occupant Trapped

EAST HOLLYWOOD, LOS ANGELES, Oct. 21 (KNN) — Two vehicles collided in East Hollywood overnight leaving an injured occupant trapped inside a rolled over vehicle.

The two-vehicle traffic collision occurred at approximately 2:22 a.m. Saturday at the intersection of Vermont Avenue and Santa Monica Boulevard.

Los Angeles Fire Department personnel were dispatched to the location where they found two vehicles with collision damage. One of the vehicles was on its side into a traffic signal pole.

A solo occupant in the vehicle on its side was trapped and extricated by the LAFD. The patient was transported in unknown condition to a local hospital by LAFD paramedics.

The condition of the the occupant in the second vehicle is unknown.

Witness Jessica Roberts spoke to Key News Network on camera and said she saw the collision from across the street; a car was speeding off and hit the other car which ran into the light pole and flipped over. She then attempted to call 911 to report the incident.

The Los Angeles Police Department’s Central Traffic Division is handling the investigation.

There are no further details at this time.
