Firefighters Battle Restaurant Attic Fire in Phoenix

PHOENIX, Ariz., Mar. 4 (KNN) — Phoenix Fire Department crews were dispatched to reports of a debris fire in the 7400 West block of McDowell Road early Monday morning.

When fire crews arrived, they found a single-story Chinese restaurant with smoke from the attic. The fire was balanced to a working structure fire.

Heavy winds pushed the smoke and fire further into the attic space.

The fire was eventually balanced to a first alarm fire.

No injuries were reported, and investigators are working to determine the cause of the fire.
