Firefighters Douse Burning Garage Fully Engulfed in Flames

Bakersfield, Kern County, CA: A garage erupted into flames late Wednesday night, threatening nearby structures before firefighters contained the blaze.

The Bakersfield Fire Department received a call for a structure fire just before 11:00 p.m., Apr. 12, on the 800 block of Goodman Street in the city of Bakersfield.

BFD located a detached garage fully engulfed in flames upon arrival, and quickly contained the flames to the burning structure.

Firefighters successfully extinguished the flames without damage to nearby structures.

The garage was unoccupied and no injuries were reported.
