Firefighters Douse Vehicle Engulfed in Flames on 10 Freeway

Covina, Los Angeles County, CA: California Highway Patrol and Los Angeles County Fire Department received multiple 911 calls for a traffic collision with fire around 9:24 p.m. on the eastbound 10 Freeway just before Via Verde Street exit in the city of Covina.

Additional 911 callers on Monday night, Oct. 17, advised CHP dispatch that they did not see anyone exit the burning vehicle.

A CHP Baldwin Park unit arrived on scene and immediately tried to gain access inside the vehicle to check if it was occupied.

Firefighters extinguished the blaze and did not locate any occupants inside the vehicle.

Information regarding the crash was not immediately available.
