Firefighters Extinguish Attic Blaze in North Hollywood Apartment Complex

North Hollywood, Los Angeles, CA: The Los Angeles City Fire Department responded to reports of a structure fire around 2:16 a.m. Monday, Sept. 26, on the 11300 block of West Collins Street in the North Hollywood neighborhood of the San Fernando Valley.

When crews arrived at the location, they found smoke showing from the attic of a two-story apartment complex.

Firefighters determined the fire source was in the attic so they began to salvage personal property from inside the apartment before knocking down the flames.

Firefighters achieved knockdown within 25 minutes with no injuries reported.
