Los Feliz, Los Angeles, CA: The Los Angeles City Fire Department responded to a duplex fire just after 10:30 p.m. Thursday, Mar. 23, on the 1800 block of North Kenmore Avenue in the Los Feliz hillside neighborhood of Los Angeles.

When firefighters arrived, they immediately requested an additional task force due to heavy smoke and fire showing on the first floor.

One unit at the rear on the first floor of the two-story building, was heavily involved in flames.

Firefighters achieved knockdown at approximately 11:10 p.m. There were no fire extensions into the second floor or attic.

No injuries were reported, according to LAFD. The cause of the fire is under investigation.

It is unknown how many people were displaced.
