Gas Station Clerk Shot in Lancaster

Lancaster, Los Angeles County, CA: A gas station clerk was shot late Friday night and transported to a local hospital.

Deputies from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department and firefighters responded to the East 400 block on Avenue L in the city of Lancaster for a report of a man shot at the location around 11:30 p.m., May 5, 2023.

Upon arrival, deputies and Los Angeles County Fire Department personnel located a male gas station clerk suffering from a gunshot wound to the neck.

Witnesses stated that four male Blacks ran out of the location after hearing what sounded like gunfire and were last seen running eastbound on Avenue L.

The patient was transported in unknown condition to a local area hospital by ambulance.
