Gunman Flees Shooting in Residential Neighborhood, Leaves 1 Wounded

Boyle Heights, Los Angeles, CA: A shooting occurred in the Boyle Heights neighborhood of Los Angeles leaving one person wounded.

LAFD transported the wounded victim in critical condition to local hospital. *Johnathan Martin* / KNN

Around 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, Mar. 23, Los Angeles Police Department Hollenbeck Division officers responded to a call of a person shot on the 900 block of South Lorena Street.

Los Angeles Fire Department was immediately dispatched to provide aide and transport for the shot victim. LAFD paramedics transported the individual in critical condition to a local area hospital, according to LAPD.

The suspect reportedly fled the scene on foot. LAPD reports no additional information is available at this time.
