La Puente Cyclist Struck by Vehicle, Transported to Hospital

La Puente, Los Angeles County, CA: An injured cyclist was transported to a hospital late Tuesday evening, Sept. 13, after being struck by a vehicle in the city of La Puente.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department and Los Angeles County Fire Department received a call around 7:40 p.m. of a vehicle vs. pedestrian collision on Valley Boulevard and Ferrero Lane.

At the scene, firefighters and deputies reported one male laying on the ground bleeding from his face.

The fire department soon transported the patient to a local hospital for further evaluation. The condition of the patient was unknown at the time.

A vehicle was observed with front end and significant windshield damage at the scene, with a twisted bicycle nearby.

The driver was at the scene and not injured.

The cause of the collision is currently unknown. LASD is investigating the incident.
