LAPD Involved in Fatally Shooting Man During Traffic Stop in South Los Angeles

SOUTH LOS ANGELES, Mar. 16 (KNN) — Late Friday evening, officers from the Los Angeles Police Department’s Southeast Division conducted a traffic stop on Imperial Highway, east of Broadway, according to authorities.

During the stop, the driver exited the vehicle, and an officer-involved shooting occurred. The driver was struck by gunfire and subsequently transported to a local hospital, where he later died, according to the LAPD. No officers were injured in the incident.

The incident occurred around 10:30 p.m. in the Broadway-Manchester neighborhood within South Los Angeles.

An officer-involved shooting investigation is underway. No further details have been released at this time.
