Man Shot on 6th Street Bridge in Downtown Los Angeles

DOWNTOWN LOS ANGELES, Apr. 27 (KNN) — A shooting victim was found down in a bike lane of the 6th Street Bridge late Friday night.

The Los Angeles Police Department’s Central Division patrol units responded to reports of shots fired shortly after 11 p.m. in the area of 6th and Mateo streets.

When units arrived on scene, they located a man suffering from an unknown number of gunshot wounds in the westbound bike lane of the 6th Street Bridge.

Officers spotted a possible suspect who fled underneath the bridge and was apprehended without further incident. A loaded firearm was located near where the suspect was taken into custody.

The victim was transported in unknown condition to Los Angeles General Medical Center via Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics.

There are no further details at this time.
