Man Shot to Death Outside Popular Bar in Downtown Renton

Renton, WA: At approximately 1:40 a.m. on Saturday, July 9, Renton Police and Fire responded to a report of a subject shot outside the Cheers Bar located in the 200 block of Williams Avenue South in Downtown Renton.

Police arrived and found one victim on the ground with a gunshot wound with someone performing CPR on the victim. Renton Fire and King County Medic One arrived and performed life-saving efforts but the victim was pronounced deceased on scene.

The Renton Police Department is conducting a homicide investigation, but no other information has been released at this time.
