VAN NUYS, LOS ANGELES, Nov. 4 (KNN) — A man was stabbed in the face early Saturday morning and found his way into a Walgreens store in Van Nuys looking for help.

Officers with the Los Angeles Police Department’s Van Nuys Division responded and found a man shortly before 5:30 a.m. inside the Walgreens at Van Nuys Boulevard and Sherman Way suffering from a severe laceration to the face.
Los Angeles Fire Department personnel also responded and transported the injured man to a local area hospital. His condition was not immediately known.
The suspect is described as a transient who was last seen fleeing the location on foot and out of view.
The Walgreen employees sheltered in place in a maintenance closet until LAPD officers arrived and cleared the scene.
