DOWNTOWN LOS ANGELES, Apr. 30 (KNN) — A mural painted of Kobe Bryant on the side of a building at the corner of 14th Street and Main Street in downtown Los Angeles has been vandalized.

Graffiti, including profanity, covers artwork depicting Lakers legend Kobe Bryant with his daughter Gianna. The painting was a tribute to the father and daughter after a helicopter crash tragically took their lives, along with the other passengers onboard and the pilot.
The incident occurred in January 2020, when their Sikorsky S-76B helicopter crashed in the hills of Calabasas while en route from John Wayne Airport to Camarillo Airport for a basketball game.
Authorities have not yet identified the individuals responsible for the vandalism.
