Pedestrian Struck, Killed by Vehicle in Palmdale

Palmdale, Los Angeles County, CA: At approximately 9:09 p.m. Tuesday, Mar. 29, Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Palmdale Station and Los Angeles County Fire Department received a 911 call for a person down at 10th Street East and Avenue P in the city of Palmdale.

Upon arrival, deputies discovered a pedestrian had been struck by a vehicle. Paramedics and firefighters from Stations 24 and 37 arrived to attend to the pedestrian who was subsequently pronounced deceased at the scene.

It is unknown if alcohol or speed was a factor in the collision. Key News Network video from the scene shows what appears to be a deputy conducting a field sobriety test on an individual.

An investigation is underway and no further details are available at this time.
