WESTWOOD, LOS ANGELES, Mar. 18 (KNN) — Activists in support of Palestine were protesting at the University of California, Los Angeles, amid Israel’s renewed airstrikes on Gaza. The demonstration began at 11:30 a.m. in the 400 block of Westwood Plaza outside Luskin Hotel.

Organizers are calling for immediate action to cut off military support to Israel and demanding the University of California Regents, who are meeting at UCLA, divest from companies that supply weapons to Israel and urged global shipping giant Maersk to cease transporting military cargo to the country.
The protest is part of a broader initiative for what activists describe as a “people’s arms embargo.” Protesters accuse Israel of violating a ceasefire agreement and engaging in what they refer to as a “genocidal war” against Palestinians.
Information gathered is based on the organizer’s Instagram: sjpatucla (Students for Justice in Palestine, University of California Los Angeles).
