Pacoima, Los Angeles, CA: A pursuit ended when the suspect vehicle collided with an SUV injuring two people in the Pacoima neighborhood of Los Angeles in the San Fernando Valley on Saturday, Apr. 23,2022.

West Valley Los Angeles Police Department was in a pursuit of a black truck traveling at a high rate of speed when the truck crashed into an SUV on Paxton Street and Laurel Canyon Boulevard (the 10600 block).

After crashing, the suspect fled on foot southbound on Laurel Canyon and west of Daventry Street.

Two patients were transported in unknown conditions by Los Angeles Fire Department firefighter/paramedics to a nearby hospital.

K-9 units were called to assist LAPD. The intersections were shut down while LAPD set up their command post and waited for K-9 units. The suspect was apprehended around noon, placed in handcuffs and transported by LAFD ambulance to a local hospital due to injuries.

It is unknown what prompted the pursuit.
