Rosemead, Los Angeles, CA: A Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department patrol vehicle was involved in a traffic collision with a sedan in the city of Rosemead on Tuesday, May 10, at approximately 8:56 p.m. on San Gabriel and Newark Avenue.

The Los Angeles County Fire Department arrived on scene along with LASD units. Upon arrival, deputies found a sedan and one of their own patrol vehicles involved in a traffic collision.
Firefighters quickly helped the injured officer from the passenger side of the patrol vehicle and driver from the sedan. Both patients were transported to a local hospital by Care Ambulance with unknown injuries.
It is not known if the deputy driving the patrol vehicle was transported from the location by ambulance before the Key News Network photojournalist arrived on the scene.
The passenger from the sedan was seen sitting on a curb, but it is unknown if they were transported to a hospital.
The cause of the collision is under investigation.
