Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Northeastern Los Angeles County

Los Angeles County, CA: The National Weather Service issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Northeastern Los Angeles County starting Tuesday night and into Wednesday evening, June 22, 2022. There is a chance of dry lightening strikes Tuesday night and Wednesday.

Lightning was captured on video by Key News Network between 12:20 a.m. to 1:15 a.m. from the San Fernando Valley facing east, then in Pomona.

A severe thunderstorm was indicated on radar capable of producing damaging winds in excess of 60 mph. The storm was located over Mount Wilson and was moving northwest at 25 mph.

The reported locations affected included Mount Wilson, Monrovia, Angeles Crest Highway, Sierra Madre, Arcadia and Duarte.
