Covina, Los Angeles County, CA: Two people were hospitalized and two fatally wounded in a shooting at a Halloween party in the city of Covina early Sunday morning, Oct. 30, just before 12:30 a.m.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department San Dimas Station along with Los Angeles County Fire Department received multiple 911 calls for a shooting at a Halloween party in the 17000 block of East Bellbrook Street and North Vogue Avenue.

Once sheriff’s deputies and firefighters arrived on scene, they located four male Hispanic adults suffering from gunshot wounds at a Halloween party in front of a residence.

One victim was pronounced deceased at the scene, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Information Bureau. Three victims were transported to Pomona Valley Hospital.

LASD reported one of the transported victims was later pronounced deceased and the other two received medical treatment and are listed in unknown condition.

Homicide detectives on the scene learned that during the party at the residence, one of the partygoers produced a firearm, fired at other partygoers, and then fled the scene, according to LASD.

LASD located multiple shell casings on the street just in front of the residence where the shooting took place. There were young adults and also children in attendance at the Halloween party at the time of the shooting.

Family members arrived at the scene upon hearing about the incident.

The shooting is under investigation. There is no additional information at this time.
