Mid-City, Los Angeles, CA: The man who was located stabbed near the scene of a traffic collision early Saturday morning succumbed to his wound. In an update from the Los Angeles Police Department, the man in his 30’s was transported to a local hospital by Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics where he was pronounced deceased.

More details of the incident were released from LAPD regarding the incident. Wilshire area officers responded to a radio call around 2:55 a.m. of a hit-and-run traffic collision at the intersection of Washington Boulevard and La Brea Avenue on Friday, Mar. 11, 2022. Two vehicles were located at the scene. One vehicle had two occupants who were not seriously injured, and the other vehicle was unoccupied.
Approximately one block away a victim of a stabbing was discovered, and additionally there was a radio call of a burglary in the area, according to LAPD. Officers responded to that location and a suspect was detained.
It was determined that the suspect in the burglary radio call was involved in the stabbing. Rolando Maura was arrested and booked for murder, according to LAPD. Detectives are trying to determine if and how the stabbing and hit-and-run traffic collision.
